TECHNICAL DRAWINGS

STUDENT APARTMENT : I designed this student apartment as part of a design competition submission, the brief was that the apartment should be set in an attic with a kitchen space, living area space, office space and bedroom area.  Below you can see the technical drawings I produced, which includes floorplans, details, sections and elevations as well as the concept design and white card scale models.

FEATURE FILM PROJECT: Based on 'Lord Loss', a novel by Darren Shan. I designed four different sets, including a study, bell tower, wine cellar and hell like set, these four sets connected to each other. You can see below some of the technical drawings I produced for this project.

NATIONAL TELEVISION AWARDS PROJECT: A design project for the NTA's which involved creating the main stage and greenroom sets. I used the idea of space as the theme for this project using galaxy rings, stars and a planets as inspiration for the main set and a crashed spaceship as inspiration for the greenroom set.

MORTAL ENGINES PROJECT: This project was based on Mortal Engines by Philip Reeve (which at the time hadn't been adapted into a film) I used the description of the St Pauls Cathedral set as a base for my project. Adapting St Pauls as it is now into a futuristic steampunk version of itself.

THE CANTERVILLE GHOST PROJECT: A television period drama project based on Oscar Wilde's novella we were tasked to find a suitable building which could be used as a location for the exterior of the house in which the story is set (I chose Norton Conyers). The interior sets I chose were the great hall, the landing and the attic which all connect to each other.

Below is an example of an isometric technical drawing of a house which was drawn to scale. There is also an example of a drawing of a section of a room  which we surveyed and then built a replica of from scratch, we also build this as a set including decorating it to match the location .

Below are the floor plans for two projects which was to come up with a concept for the An Audience With series with a Production designer, for mine I chose Eve Stewart and the designs included references to Wild Child, Les Misérables and The Hole. To the right is the floor plan for my adventure gameshow project which was based on Ancient Greece and included a hell landscape, Grecian columns and an Olympic stadium.
